Currently, Jesus Shelter Ministry has no roof where they meet. They gather outdoors in an enclosed courtyard near a busy street.
There is a long-term plan to help buy or build a ‘shelter’ for the school and other ministries.
Jesus Shelter is more than a school, it is a church and family to these young believers.

Children in A Major City of South Asia
Being a Christian or raised Christian in a predominantly Muslim nation places an individual at a great disadvantage. Receiving an education can be costly and to a Christian it is nearly impossible.
The children of Jesus Shelter need help in offsetting costs that their parents are unable to pay. Currently there is a need for supplies such as book bags, notebooks, paper, pencils, and other stationary.
There is also the daily need for food, water, and snacks. Kiran works tiressly with little or no help. Will you partner in prayer and consider giving towards supplies, food, and basic clothing?
We are teaching some of the poorest children in one of the largest cities in Pakistan via the Internet on Sunday mornings. Sister Kiran and Jesus Shelter Ministry reach poor and disadvantaged children here. She literally teaches outdoors near the streets.
She is such a blessing as she works to see that these children receive God’s word each week.
Here, Kiran interprets Darlene’s word into Urdu so the children can understand the lesson. Before a speaker was provided the children had no way to hear us accept through Sister Kiran.
Before we partnered with Kiran and Jesus Shelter, she had very little help, nut she does her work joyfully.
A Beacon on a Hill in a Spiritually Dark Nation!
There is an urgent need for the gospel in the Urdu language. The need is for both written and digital versions of the Word.
The children of Jesus Shelter have no Bibles in English or Urdu. There is also a need for the digital gospel in Urdu that is available on a ‘torch’ or solar-powered flashlight. These are available from our partner Renew Outreach. For more information or to purchase click here.
Jesus Shelter is a lighthouse in a dark nation. The children will grow up and then what? Perhaps they are the next generation of church leaders, but we must plan now for theirs and their nation’s future.
We have long-term plans to train leaders to bring the light of the gospel into the darkness here.
